Doctoral Consortium

This event provides an opportunity for early-stage doctoral researchers to exchange ideas about their PhD thesis projects with other doctoral students and senior researchers within the framework of CAEPIA’26.

For this purpose, submissions of PhD thesis proposals in the field of Artificial Intelligence research are invited. The thesis topic must belong to any of the topics included in the conference (general session and associated symposia).

All the candidates must present a summary of their proposal during a special session.

Awards

An award for the best PhD thesis project will be granted within the DC. The best submitted projects will be recognized. More information about the awards here.

Format

The document must have a maximum length of 12 pages following LNCS guidelines (available in Word and LaTeX2e) and must include:

InformationContact details, proposed title, supervisor(s), department (University), and starting date.
AbstractBrief description of the research to be carried out or currently being conducted, with special emphasis on the initial hypotheses and previous research supporting them. The main objective and its breakdown into sub-objectives must be clearly and concisely described. Special consideration will be given to objectives that are original compared to previously published proposals, and the doctoral student must highlight their original contribution to the corresponding research line.
Methodology and Work PlanThe doctoral student must provide a brief summary of the tasks that will lead to the completion of their PhD thesis, with special emphasis on milestones marking the achievement of the proposed objectives.
RelevanceThe document must include a discussion of the importance of this research both at the scientific level and regarding its potential application or transfer to society.

Submission of Proposals

Proposals must be submitted through the CAEPIA’26 EasyChair page (Doctoral Consortium track).

Proceedings

All accepted proposals will be published in the proceedings edited by CAEPIA, together with the rest of the conference papers.
