Description
Manuel Germán Morales is a Predoctoral Researcher in the TIC-207 SiMiDat Research group at the University of Jaén, where he is also enrolled as a PhD student in the Information and Communication Technologies program, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. He has a strong academic background, having previously completed both the Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering (2018 - 2022) and the Master's Degree in Computer Engineering (2022-2024).
His initial research focused on the development of evolutionary models to optimize the sizing of single-facial PV systems. During this process, he created an application that allowed him to explore various Evolutionary Computing techniques, as well as to become familiar with other relevant tools for its development. Currently, he is specializing in the field of time series prediction using Deep Learning algorithms.
The main objective of his research is to design and develop solutions that take advantage of the potential of Deep Learning algorithms, taking into account their energy consumption (Green AI), as well as the ability to transfer knowledge from other domains to a case study through Transfer Learning. In addition to his research work, he has collaborated in the creation of teaching material for various dissemination activities.
